Job description

Position Title
Floating Assistant Maintenance Manager
Location
Multiple properties within assigned portfolio/region
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Floating Assistant Maintenance Manager to support maintenance operations across multiple apartment communities in Renton, Kent, and Federal Way . This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys troubleshooting, leading by example, and ensuring residents receive exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily maintenance operations at multiple properties
  • Support maintenance teams with scheduling vendors, ordering supplies, work orders, unit turns, and preventive maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, drywall, and carpentry issues
  • Ensure communities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained
  • Help maintain inventory, supplies, and vendor coordination
  • Support emergency on-call rotations as needed
  • Assist with training and mentoring maintenance staff
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies

Qualifications
  • Previous multi-family maintenance experience required
  • Supervisory or assistant maintenance leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between properties
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
