Job Title: Promotions Associate

General Definition: Responsible for executing any/all on-site and of-site Marketing functions related to Promotions, to include but not limited to; rule creation, cash and prize giveaways.

Supervision Received: Player Services Supervisor

Supervision Exercised: N/A







Essential Job Functions:

  • Advertise promotions to facility patrons ensuring an aura of excitement in the facility utilizing handouts, microphone, and sound and light systems as needed.
  • Promote the Players Club card by informing patrons of card benefits to increase play and satisfaction with facility offerings.
  • Create promotional rules for submission using previous rules for similar promotions as a guide; to be created and make suggestions for new and exciting promotions.
  • Utilize casino management system to determine promotional targets based on previous effective promotions.
  • Determine patron eligibility by entering patron information in the casino management system.
  • Update standard contract to include promotion specific information for submission to Marketing Manager for final approval process for prizes.
  • Contact vendors to guarantee products and prizes are ordered and delivered to any/all requested departments, as necessary, but also ensuring that all gaming vendor promotions are within the company’s guidelines.
  • Update facility management with current & accurate information in regards to the status of all promotions.
  • Clean promotions area as needed to ensure positive guest experience.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.







Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Skilled at using company equipment (i.e., microphone, sound and light systems, laptops,
    etc.)
  • Must be able to work varied schedules, holidays and weekends
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced
  • Must possess above average analytical skills along with a strong attention to detail
  • Must possess above average oral and written skills
  • Must be articulate, outgoing, optimistic and team oriented
  • Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to work under immense pressure
  • Ability to think critically and possess creative skills
  • Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Proficiency in basic mathematical skills
  • Must have general knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with an intermediate level of skill in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must possess above average technical aptitude to facilitate learning of computer systems including casino management systems and other industry specific software/programs
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints
  • Must be able to work in a smoke filled casino environment

Training and Experience:

  • One (1) year of promotional gaming experience required
  • Customer service experience with a marketing background preferred

Licenses/Certifications/Other:

  • Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from all required Regulatory Agencies, if applicable to perform the essential job functions
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result
