About the Role


RGD Project Management, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the successful planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of engineering and construction projects. This role serves as a critical link between project management, engineering teams, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.


The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic project environment.


What You'll Do
As a Project Engineer, you will:
  • Coordinate engineering and construction activities throughout all phases of a project lifecycle.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and resource management efforts.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and assist in implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Prepare project reports, meeting minutes, status updates, and other project documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, contractors, consultants, and vendors to facilitate successful project execution.
  • Conduct site visits, field inspections, and construction observations to verify quality and compliance.
  • Assist with change management, contractor coordination, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawing reviews.
  • Support project commissioning, startup, testing, and closeout activities.
  • Promote adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and company procedures.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, Construction, or related discipline).
  • 3–5 years of experience in project engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, project delivery methods, and construction processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling or project management software.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • PMP certification or other project management credentials.
  • Experience with industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, utility, energy, or water/wastewater projects.
  • Knowledge of project controls, cost management, scheduling, and risk assessment.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
