Position Summary

The Pre-Construction Coordinator plays a critical role by managing pre-installation activities for Fortress Fencing. This position ensures that all pre-construction documentation, scheduling, permitting, and subcontractor coordination are executed efficiently and in alignment with project goals. The role requires close collaboration with project managers, estimators, the construction team, and clients to ensure readiness for field execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Setup & Documentation
  • Coordinate and maintain pre-construction documentation including submittals, permits, insurance certificates, and compliance forms.
  • Assist in preparing subcontractor agreements and scopes of work for fencing installations on solar farms and renewable energy sites.
  • Track and manage pre-qualification paperwork for subcontractors and suppliers.


  • Scheduling & Coordination
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or SiteTracker.
  • Coordinate mobilization and demobilization logistics for field crews and subcontractors.
  • Liaise with utility partners, EPCs, and developers to align fencing timelines with broader construction milestones.


  • Permitting & Compliance
  • Work with municipalities and permitting agencies to secure necessary approvals for fence installation.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, prevailing wage requirements, and renewable energy incentives (e.g., IRA documentation).


  • Client & Stakeholder Communication
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the pre-construction phase.
