About the Company

The Project Engineer is a critical member of the engineering team, supporting project development, design, and execution phases. This role assists Senior Project Engineers in preparing layouts, specifications, and quotations, ensuring projects are designed and executed to meet customer requirements. The position also involves collaboration with internal teams, customers, and contractors to ensure project success, maintaining the companyโ€™s commitment to quality and efficiency.

The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting project development, design, and execution phases, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure project success.



Responsibilities

Pre-Quotation Support

  • Project Conceptualization: Assist in the preparation of project layouts and collaborate with the sales team to develop quotations by providing product quantities based on customer demands. Support Senior Project Engineers by gathering and organizing necessary information.
  • Communication: Work closely with the Sales team and customers to help define project requirements, scope, and deliverables throughout the project life cycle, reporting progress to Senior Project Engineers.
  • Preliminary Design: Assist in completing preliminary design calculations, layouts, and drawings. Work under the direction of Senior Project Engineers to ensure accuracy and alignment with project goals.
  • Documentation: Help prepare documents to communicate and refine project concepts with all involved parties, as guided by Senior Project Engineers.

Quotation Support

  • Determination: Support the process of determining the appropriate products based on project specifications and assist in preparing the bill of materials.
  • Specification Writing: Contribute to drafting EAE-preferred specifications for potential projects, as directed by Senior Project Engineers.
  • Review and Compliance: Assist in reviewing project specifications and ensure that requirements are communicated, understood, and incorporated by other engineering/manufacturing disciplines.
  • Site Meetings: Attend site meetings with customers to understand project needs and assist with documenting key information and follow-up tasks.

Project Support

  • Design Stage Engagement: After receipt of an order, assist in preparing drawings, performing calculations, and gathering measurements for field fit verification, working closely with Senior Project Engineers.
  • Review and Revision: Collaborate with the Sales team to review customer redlined quotations and drawings. Assist in revising and ensuring the accuracy of project documentation.
  • Equipment Specifications: Support the finalization of specifications and quantities for all equipment purchased by the client. Help place internal orders for buyout equipment and specify required delivery timelines.
  • Schedule Monitoring: Assist in monitoring engineering schedules and communicating any potential impact on cost or cash flow. Report findings to Senior Project Engineers.
  • Job File Preparation: Help prepare and issue complete, concise job files, ensuring that all relevant information is organized and available.
  • Contract Specifications: Contribute to the completion and issuance of contract specifications, ensuring that all required information is included and accurate.
  • Issue Resolution: Assist in resolving internal technical issues by troubleshooting and problem-solving alongside Senior Project Engineers.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with all members of the EAE USA team and EAE stakeholders. Help foster friendly relations within the EAE group, in line with the companyโ€™s core values.

Site Support

  • Customer Training: Assist in providing onsite customer training for the installation, testing, and maintenance of EAE Busway.
  • Technical Support: Provide onsite technical support to contractors and installers, ensuring correct installation of EAE systems. Assist Senior Project Engineers in troubleshooting and providing guidance.
  • Field Measurements: Perform or assist in field measurements for field fit pieces. Support contractors and provide training as necessary.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Senior Project Engineers or leadership.


Qualifications

  • 2-4+ Years as an Electrical Engineer in a role at an engineering firm (construction industry), electrical equipment manufacturer or similar
  • BS in Engineering or related discipline
  • 3+ Years Experience with Revit, AutoCAD Electrical or similar


Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar software (3+ years experience preferred).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
