Project Accountant – Commercial Construction

Who: An established commercial construction company is seeking an experienced Project Accountant to support multiple construction projects and collaborate with project managers and leadership.

What: Manage project financials, billing, cost tracking, contract administration, and reporting while ensuring accurate and timely accounting throughout the project lifecycle.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant with construction industry experience to oversee the financial administration of multiple commercial construction projects. This individual will work closely with Project Managers to monitor budgets, process billing, manage project costs, and ensure financial accuracy from project kickoff through closeout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project accounting for multiple active construction projects.

  • Process owner billings, subcontractor pay applications, and change orders.

  • Track project costs, budgets, commitments, and forecasts.

  • Reconcile project accounts and investigate discrepancies.
