Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project control processes and procedures to ensure teams are compliant with organization policies and standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess project compliance with established processes, identifying areas for improvement and corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance and training to project teams on project control requirements and best practices.
  • Work closely with the quality team to create, update, and maintain professional and compliant quality documentation.
  • Ensure all quality-related documents are accurately recorded, filed, and accessible for audits and project reviews.
  • Assist in tracking and monitoring quality metrics, deviations, and corrective actions as required.
  • Manage the filing system for construction projects, ensuring all documents and reports are organized and easily accessible.
  • Generate and distribute various project reports, including status updates, financial reports, and safety reports.
  • Assist in compiling data and preparing reports for project meetings, reviews, and presentations.
  • Learn the Assistant Project Manager role thoroughly to act as a backup for APMs during their absence or when additional support is needed.
  • Provide training and support to new APMs during onboarding, ensuring they understand company policies, procedures, and project management processes.
  • Collaborate with APMs to streamline workflows, share best practices, and improve project management efficiency.
  • Work closely with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to facilitate communication and collaboration.
  • Coordinate with various departments such as accounting, procurement, and quality assurance to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Act as a liaison between different project stakeholders to resolve issues, address concerns, and maintain project alignment.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Previous experience in project management or construction administration is preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, processes, and project controls.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction/project management software.
  • Familiarity with construction safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications are desirable.
