Construction Project Scheduler

In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain construction project schedules. You will plan and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure the established goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the development of schedules for estimating, as requested
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager with the preparation of estimates-to-complete and cash flow projections for cost-loaded schedules.
  • Develop project schedules for business development that will be submitted with the proposals.
  • Maintain individual project schedules, including the development of baseline reviews.
  • Develop network logic diagrams, bar charts, and schedule reports for project schedules, as required, to support the project management teams, estimating, and business development.
  • Manage resource and cost loading the project schedule based on project requirements.
  • Keep progress up-to-date in the project schedule.
  • Monitor the procurement and submittal schedule portion of the project schedule.
  • Coordinate with the Superintendent in creating a short-term look ahead schedule.
  • Attend the scheduling portion of project reviews, as required.
  • Prepares project reports as requested.
  • Confers with project team to provide technical advice and to help resolve scheduling challenges.
  • Assist as required in developing the schedule of values with the guidance of the Project Manager and estimators for cost-loaded schedules.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • Four-year degree in engineering or construction management
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required
  • 1 - 5 years of scheduling experience on large construction projects
  • Proficiency in Primavera/P6 scheduling software including cost/resource loading and analysis
  • Must be able to physically access working areas of a construction project site
  • Must be able to locate to project sites as needed to perform essential duties
  • Work in excess of a 40-hour workweek may be required
  • Experience in estimating, scheduling, budget/cost control, field supervision, financial reporting, client relationship, computer skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of industry-standard bid practice

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
