Origination ManagerHybrid for one of the following offices - San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver or New York CityThis is 3days onsite/wkInitial 12mth contract, with potential of extensions
We are seeking a skilled Origination Manager to become an integral part of our clients Global Energy Team, specifically the Energy Solutions - Americas division. In this role, you will support the origination and development of front-of-the-meter distributed solar and energy storage opportunities across our client's real estate portfolio.
You will work cross-functionally with development, finance, legal, execution, and asset management teams to help advance strategic energy projects that support clean energy growth objectives.
Key responsibilities include:Market Research: Monitor wholesale power markets, renewable energy markets, utility IRPs, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies in key energy markets (WECC, PJM, MISO, Southeast)Origination: Source and evaluate RFPs and other bilateral opportunities for the client's project portfolio, including utility, corporate, or data center offtake.Bid Submission Preparation: Support the preparation and coordination of RFP submissions, including organizing bid materials, tracking deadlines, and compiling required documentation.Coordinate Internal Stakeholders: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to help advance projects through the origination pipeline.Manage Pipeline Tracking and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project opportunities, submissions, and commercial activity to support consistent tracking and reporting processes.Support Customer Engagement: Assist in preparing presentations, proposals, and other commercial materials for customers and counterparties.PPA negotiations: Support negotiations of customer agreements, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).Perform Market and Commercial Analysis: Monitor price comps from executed PPAs and other market intelligence sources, to help identify market opportunities.
Required:Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, engineering, energy or environmental science, engineering or similar preferred, or equivalent experience5+ years of relevant experienceStrong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyBasic understanding of solar, storage and distributed energy marketsExperience with relevant tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPointExperience with Salesforce and Smartsheet is a plusStrong verbal and written communication skillsHigh attention to detail, professionalism, and integrityMotivated by curiosity with a strong desire to learn and growCreative mindset and openness to tackling new challengesCollaborative team player with a supportive approach
