Job Description:

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Configuration Manager, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of Medicaid. You will play a crucial role in upgrading, operating and maintaining Medicaid information and claims processing systems.

  • Serve as the point of contact for Configuration Management activities during design, development, integration, and operations
  • Define configuration management process and procedures
  • Manage version control of the solution, documentation, and other project artifacts based on system changes
  • Maintain an inventory of all systems artifacts
  • Manage configuration identification to establish relationship between software, hardware, and documents
  • Responsible for conducting regular audits, reporting findings to the customer, in order to ensure solution components are properly configured and adhere to established standards and guidelines
  • Ensure approval of systems versions prior to release of systems functionality, so correct versions are deployed and associated documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Responsible for ensuring documentation is accurate, current and accessible to team members, stakeholders and agency staff
  • Manage the configuration project team members for onboarding, training, and task assignments
  • Provide regular updates on configuration management efforts
  • Complete and submit performance and status reports


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your Medicaid and health IT systems expertise, along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Configuration Manager must have 5 years of experience including:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or similar field; or equivalent work experience
  • Four (4) years of experience in configuration management of Medicaid or Major Health Care Payer projects
  • Three (3) years of experience using configuration management tools and software
  • 3+ years of experience with modifying and maintaining configuration of Medicaid or Medicare systems relevant to the proposed solution
  • Working knowledge of Medicaid Transformation Initiative, Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) 3.0, and the CMS Conditions for Enhanced Funding
  • Working knowledge of IT best practices, policies and regulations, software development life cycle, and ITIL Service Configuration Management methodology. ITIL Certification preferred

The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
