Position Summary:

Position Summary: The Project Manager supports the planning, execution, coordination, and monitoring of FAA Brand-New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) implementation activities. The Project Manager assists in managing project schedules, resource coordination, risk identification, status reporting, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful deployment of infrastructure, communications, surveillance, automation, and facility modernization efforts across National Airspace System (NAS) locations. The incumbent works closely with Program Managers, Construction Managers, engineers, subject matter experts, and FAA stakeholders to support project objectives while ensuring adherence to project requirements, schedules, and performance expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support execution of assigned BNATCS projects and task order activities.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, action item trackers, milestone plans, and status reports.
  • Coordinate activities among engineering, construction, logistics, installation, and operational teams.
  • Monitor project performance against schedule and delivery objectives.
  • Maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, risk registers, issue logs, and deployment plans.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks and dependencies.
  • Support coordination of site surveys, facility assessments, equipment deliveries, installation activities, and testing events.
  • Track project expenditures and resource utilization.
  • Prepare presentations, briefings, dashboards, and management reports.
  • Coordinate with FAA personnel and contractor team members regarding project status and upcoming activities.
  • Support implementation and deployment planning for modernization activities occurring at FAA operational facilities.
  • Assist with project closeout activities, lessons learned, and turnover documentation.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Information Technology, Aviation Management, or related field.
  • 3 to 7 years of project management, project coordination, or implementation management experience.
  • Must reside in the Atlantic City Region, NJ, Washington, DC, or Oklahoma City, OK area
  • Experience supporting technical, infrastructure, systems integration, or facility modernization projects.
  • Knowledge of project management principles, scheduling, and risk management processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required FAA suitability credentials.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting FAA, DoD, DOT, or other federal programs.
  • Familiarity with NAS facilities, telecommunications systems, surveillance systems, or air traffic management technologies.
  • CAPM, PMP, Agile, or related project management certification.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed deployment efforts.
