ADP is hiring an Implementation Project Manager IV!

In this role, you will serve as the client-facing project manager responsible for the successful implementation and conversion of retirement plans from point of sale through transition to ongoing Client Services. You will partner with clients, financial advisors, prior recordkeepers, and internal ADP teams to manage all aspects of the implementation process, ensuring projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless client experience while driving implementation success across multiple stakeholders and functional teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:Responsibilities &What you can expect on a typical day:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the implementation lifecycle, from point of sale through transition to Client Services.
  • Manage complex retirement plan conversions and new starts, by coordinating activities across clients, financial advisors, prior recordkeepers, and internal ADP departments.
  • Conduct welcome calls to explain the implementation process, establish expectations, and introduce key team members.
  • Assist clients with prior recordkeeper notifications and obtaining liquidation dates.
  • Provide blackout notices and educate clients on regulatory responsibilities and participant communication requirements.
  • Coordinate the transfer of plan assets and participant records between providers.
  • Facilitate payroll input calls and provide guidance on payroll deductions and compliance coding requirements.
  • Track project milestones and proactively resolve issues that could impact implementation timelines or outcomes.
  • Prepare and distribute client conversion communications and implementation documentation.
  • Monitor and communicate conversion status to clients, sales teams, and financial advisors on a regular basis.
  • Evaluate implementation challenges and recommend solutions utilizing retirement plan, product, and legislative expertise.
  • Review ADP Prototype Adoption Agreements and validate plan setup elections to ensure alignment with client expectations and product specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support exception-based processes, including investment restrictions, in-kind transfers, brokerage accounts, and special blackout requirements.
  • Review conversion data, participant records, and plan setup details prior to production go-live.
  • Obtain client approvals on conversion data and implementation decisions.
  • Support complex conversion activities including loan mapping, service calculations, investment mapping, and deferral percentage conversions.
  • Participate in team projects, mentor new associates, and assist with escalated client issues and research initiatives.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • At least 5 years of related experience in retirement services, project management, implementation management, recordkeeping, or retirement plan administration.
  • Strong knowledge of defined contribution retirement plans and retirement plan operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across matrixed teams and influence stakeholders including Sales, Operations, Finance, ERISA, Payroll, and Service teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships and deliver exceptional client experience.
  • Proven ability to work independently while driving results in a fast-paced environment.

A college degree is great but not required. What's more important is having the skills to do the job. Other acceptable experiences could include:

  • Experience noted above, OR
  • Military experience where skills including leadership, teamwork, adaptability, organization, project execution, and client relationship management will help you achieve success.

  • 3+ years of successful experience as a Retirement Conversion Project Manager or equivalent role.
  • Understanding of ERISA regulations and retirement plan compliance requirements.
  • Ability to support retirement plans of varying complexities and sizes.
  • Advanced knowledge of retirement plan recordkeeping and conversion methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of ADP Retirement Services products and processes.
  • Experience leading complex retirement plan conversions from implementation through production go-live.
  • Ability to consult with clients on non-standard plan design and implementation requirements.
  • Strong influence, prioritization, adaptability, and multitasking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and train team members.
  • Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • A sense of urgency balanced with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy without sacrificing speed.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering an exceptional onboarding experience.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a high-volume, constantly evolving environment.
