JOB SUMMARY

The Project Engineer supports the project team in various functions, including but not limited to job cost tracking, schedule tracking, change orders, RFI’s and submittals

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • A working knowledge of construction methodology and managerial processes at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, an Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent experience of 3 years or more

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Leadership experience in a field environment
  • Construction management degree
  • Experience in the construction industry
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Ability to read/interpret/analyze construction schedules

  • Extensive document controls experience

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

  • Working knowledge of job cost tracking

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential

  • Familiarity with Access a plus

  • Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly, make decisions, and contribute as needed

  • Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Tracking construction contract design changes and updates
  • Tracking of project construction progress in addition to tracking job costs
  • Coordinating design changes within construction team
  • Assist with preparation of change orders and maintenance of project change order log
  • Assist with development and maintenance of project schedule
  • Assist with development and maintenance of submittals log and RFI logs
  • Ability to prepare project submittals and submit written RFIs to client
    Perform additional duties as assigned
