Job Overview:
The Project Coordinator's primary responsibility is to coordinate and oversee on-site execution of OEM, legacy engine upgrades, and/or supply new OEM equipment for natural gas operators in the US and global markets. This role requires detailed project management expertise to ensure the successful accomplishment of company objectives. Serving as the liaison on-site, the Project Coordinator will leverage experience and technical knowledge to interface with customers and ensure adherence to Cooper's best interests and project deliverables.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Oversee project activities on-site, including budget management, schedule development, and reporting in accordance with COOPER's Project Management work processes and customer-specific contract conformance requirements.
  • Interface with customers to ensure clear communication channels for conveying execution plans, progress updates, and managing changes in scope.
  • Assist in the development of appropriate Project Execution Plans, including strategies for both development and implementation phases.
  • Ensure close coordination with internal stakeholder groups, including sales, engineering, sourcing, and operations.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to plan for craft and contract labor.
  • Verify and control deliveries of equipment and materials to meet construction schedules.
  • Monitor and measure subcontractor performance against contract terms and conditions.
  • Review, evaluate, and approve all scope changes before implementation.
  • Ensure timely completion of project deliverables within budget and scope.
  • Prepare formal reports as required for customers.
  • Identify and document opportunities for improvement as lessons learned throughout the project life cycle.
  • Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and environment, ensuring safety within all project work.
  • Demonstrate a high regard for personal safety, company assets, employees, and the general public.
  • Travel up to 80% and work at other site locations throughout the U.S.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator.
  • Familiarity with P&ID drawing interpretation.
  • Experience with pipeline compressors and engines desired.
  • Previous experience working directly with customers in a Project Management or similar capacity.
  • Satisfactory driving record and a valid state driver's license.
  • Meet all training requirements stipulated by local, state, or federal agencies and/or COOPER Machinery Services and customer policies.
  • Ability to work in environments with exposure to smells and fumes associated with natural gas products.
  • Perform field activities, including walking amidst construction sites, negotiating rough terrain, and working around heavy equipment.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs, climb stairs/ladders, and stand for long periods.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and scheduling software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Projects and SAP is a plus.
