Job description

Project Coordinator

We are seeking a motivated and organized Project Coordinator to assist in the coordination, planning and administration of various design and/or construction contract and projects to ensure delivery within prescribed scope of work and budgetary and time constraints.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 9:00am- 5:00pm (1-2 work from home days/week)

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Project Manager in executing management plan for all capital and internal projects.
Assists in the coordination and oversight of work activities by construction personnel,
technical professionals, consultants, and other outside agencies to provide support,
resolve concerns and attain project completion.
Manage project data and communications with external vendors.
Input data into project system and procurement system.
Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, submittals, and
progress reports with accuracy and timeliness.
Assist with contract administration, tracking compliance, amendments, and scope changes
throughout the procurement and project lifecycles.
Monitors documentation and processing of information affecting required change orders.
Prepares and maintains various reports and records on project execution.
Assists in developing contractual budgetary controls, managing schedules, and
establishing/executing the scope of work.
Track and report project status updates to the project manager.
Provides timely responses to submittals from construction personnel. Verifies and
processes progress payments and assist to negotiate cost of changes to contracts.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree in construction management, Project Management or a closely related field based on the responsibilities of the position.
  • Obtained or in pursuit of the Certified Associates in Project Manager, CAPM certification is required.
  • Basic accounting and booking knowledge
  • Strong understanding of construction estimating, project scheduling, and overall construction management
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of contracts, change management processes.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Work Environment:

  • Office based with occasional opportunities to attend site visits or community meetings.
  • Minimal travel may be required within local areal.
  • Occasional discomforts from exposure to moderate heat, cold, moisture/wetness and unpleasant air conditions.
  • Occasional exposure to soiled materials and light chemical substances such as cleaning solutions.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds
  • Occasional periods of walking on rough surfaces
