Our client is currently seeking a talented and experienced Assistant Controller to join their team as an Assistant Controller. As the Assistant Controller you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and mentoring a team of dedicated professionals. Title: Assistant Controller
Salary: $80,000-$100,0000

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of 3 direct reports, providing guidance, feedback, and support in their professional development.
  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Coordinate and assist in the annual budgeting process, working closely with department managers to develop comprehensive financial plans.
  • Monitor and maintain internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Controller and senior management to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors.

Qualifications:
