Position Summary
TenCate Grass is seeking a functional Microsoft Business Central Consultant to support and enhance our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment, with a strong focus on construction and project-based operations.
This role serves as a key partner to finance, operations, and project teams, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong job cost visibility, and standardized processes across business units. The ideal candidate is a hands-on ERP professional who can support live environments while also leading implementations for newly acquired entities.

Key Responsibilities
ERP Implementation amp; Configuration
  • Support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across multiple business units
  • Lead or assist with system rollouts for newly acquired construction and project-based entities
  • Ensure consistent system setup, including chart of accounts, dimensions, and job structures
Business Analysis amp; Process Improvement
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable ERP solutions
  • Evaluate and improve workflows related to project accounting, procurement, and financial reporting
  • Identify opportunities to enhance system functionality and operational efficiency
Construction / Project-Based Accounting Support
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for Business Central users, particularly within construction and project accounting
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:
    • Job costing and cost tracking
    • Work-in-progress (WIP) and revenue recognition
    • Progress billing, retainage, and draws
    • Procure-to-pay and financial close processes
  • Support labor, burden, and overhead allocations within project environments
Data Migration amp; System Integration
  • Support data migration efforts, including jobs, costs, opening balances, and reconciliations
  • Assist with integrations between Business Central and other enterprise or field systems
  • Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-go-live support
Training, Support amp; Documentation
  • Provide user training and ongoing support across business units
  • Develop and maintain clear system documentation and process guides
  • Act as a trusted advisor to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Continuous Improvement
  • Stay current on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central updates and industry best practices
  • Proactively recommend enhancements to improve reporting, controls, and system performance

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience working with ERP systems, with direct experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction or project-based accounting, including job costing, WIP, and revenue recognition
  • Experience supporting or implementing ERP systems in a multi-entity environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot both technical and functional system issues
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and IT teams
  • Microsoft Dynamics certifications (e.g., MB-800) preferred
  • Experience with project-based tools such as ProjectPro365 is a plus
