Thecandidate will serve as aTask Manager assistingProject Managers and will be responsible for overseeing, planning, and executing various environmental construction projects with a primary focus on scope development, subcontractor management and coordination, and client site communication. This role involves ensuring compliance with project specifications and maintaining project schedules and budgets.
This position is fast paced and will include working on 30 - 40 concurrent projects, all in various states of the project lifecycle, seeing projects through from start to finish.
Preferred Locations: West Chester, PA; Austin, TX; Glastonbury, CT; Houston, TX; Lakewood, CO; or Lincolnshire, IL.
Expected Outcomes:
Project Scope Development:
  • Review given project data and request information from client contacts to clearly define project objectives and timelines.
  • Review historical reports to obtain background information
  • Document information collected to define project scope so that all information collected is organized in project folders and the active status is noted in a database.
Subcontractor Management:
  • Prepare bid packages to obtain competitive and comparable quotes from subcontractors to execute the project scope.
  • Communicate with subcontractors to obtain quotes within timeframe
  • Assist in the selection and vetting of subcontractors.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractor activities to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards. Including facilitating project kick-off calls with client contacts and subcontractors prior to work beginning.
  • Communicate daily with subcontractors during field work activities
  • Ensure subcontractors comply with safety regulations and project specifications.
Project Coordination:
  • Assist in the pricing and preparation of client proposals and change orders.
  • Ensure project schedule and budget is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare reports on project completion to summarize executed work.
Positions Expectations:
  • The role includes part-time participation in the client emergency response team, which requires 24/7 on-call availability one week per month to support any client ER calls throughout the country.This position also requires working during events of major regional or national significance when the entire team will be participating to support our client(s).
  • Candidate must work from WESTON office during standard work hours of 8AM to 5 PM at least two days/week.
  • While this is primarily an office position, the availability to travel (5-10%) is a requirement with most travel being day trips, however, multiple day trips may be needed depending on the project to perform onsite quality assurance during active field work of subcontractors.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Construction, Environmental Sciences, Civil or Mechanical engineering, Industrial Hygiene or related subject areas.
  • Proficient computer skills and software/internet-based programs: MS Office, Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • Experience with lead, mold, or asbestos abatements, industrial hygiene, post-disaster cleanup and restoration, and/or commercial renovations or additions a plus.
  • Lead, Mold, and/or Asbestos training, 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER, certifications, or licenses a plus.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Demonstratedability to communicate effectively with and to work with individuals, large groups of peers and supervisors, subcontractors, and customer contacts.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple on-going assignments.
  • Effective time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent understanding of industry practices, processes, and standards.
