Job description

Job Summary 
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team! As a APM, you will be working closely with members of the team and the project manager to assist in any way necessary to ensure the success of the project. This can include scheduling meetings, assisting on job sites, answering emails or phone calls and following up with vendors, and staying on top of all project deadlines. To be successful as an APM you should be able to perform any tasks assigned by the project manager in an efficient and timely manner. An APM should be able to maintain oversight of all project activities, identify any issues, and ensure these are resolved promptly. The ideal candidate is highly organized, has excellent time management skills, and can multitask and switch priorities as needed. This role offers the opportunity to grow into a full-time Project Manager position. 

Responsibilities 
  • Work closely with other project assistants and team members, forming strong working relationships
  • Respond to emails/texts, answer questions, and follow up with project issues
  • Prepare for meetings with other staff and outside vendors
  • Contribute to the planning and development of projects.
  • Track and report project progress, identifying any issues and assisting in resolution.
  • Completing any tasks assigned by the Project Manager in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Assist project managers with estimating, field measuring, preparing submittal packages, developing schedules of values, change orders and support scheduling and coordination of installations.
  • The employee may be required to climb ladders up to 6 feet high as needed on-site, lift objects in a safe manner, or stand for several hours at a time. 
Qualifications
  • Familiarity with computer programs such as Google, Microsoft Office suite, Salesforce, or other CRMs
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • At least 2 years of previous experience in project management or a similar role.
  • Must have reliable transportation 
  • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) preferred but not requiredÂ
