Job Description Legal Assistant Downtown Toronto Our client, a premier business law firm in Canada is in need of a recent graduate of the Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program to join its team working as a Legal Assistant in the Tax Department. In this role you will be working with two busy Law Clerks assisting with completing record books, updating corporate registers and ledgers and general filing among other tasks. This is an exciting for someone looking to learn and grow.

Responsibilities: Support the tax law clerks with their administrative tasks Assist with the completion of record books Maintain a tickler system for deadlines Assist with the creation of corporate charts using PowerPoint Ensure corporate information in CorpLink database is accurate and up-to-date Minute book and general filing Update corporate registers and ledgers Produce the highest quality of work Manage duties related to accounting and all other work assigned Requirements: Recent graduate of a Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program Successful completion of a related post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program Skills: Microsoft 365 suite of applications Some knowledge of a corporate database would be an asset Ability to problem solve Must possess good decision making skills and strong interpersonal skills.
