Job Description:

Reporting to the Chair, Information and Communications Technology - SSN, the Student Program Assistant provides support to students in various subjects.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Supports students as required (could include) one on one or group support in programs within the Faculty of ICT-SSN;

  • Provide workshops to students to enhance their learning;

  • Supports Faculty in troubleshoot issues and applied learning;

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum two (2) Year Diploma or equivalent in Computer Systems Technician, Computer Programming, or related IT field; Students in their final level of study may be considered.

  • Bilingualism - English and French (spoken and written) (level C) preferred.

  • Minimum two (2) years experience in various ICT fields.

  • Strong interpersonal skills;

  • Collaborative;

  • Demonstration of ability to support or impart knowledge of the material to support students.

Please note these positions are dedicated to the Algonquin College CyberCom training program.

This position requires on-site work at Algonquin College's Woodroffe (Ottawa) Campus.
