Job description


Cherokee Federal is seeking a highly experienced Program Manager to support Federal Government clients and their mission. The On-Site Program Manager will act as the primary interface between the Government stakeholders and the contractor workforce, ensuring all deliverables meet performance standards, contractual requirements, and mission timelines. This role demands a strategic leader with a proven record in federal contract management, resource optimization, and managing employees.
A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.
Program Manager Responsibilities Include:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all contractor personnel assigned to Government Programs.
  • Oversee and ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all contract deliverables and work products.
  • Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding of contractor employees.
  • Develop/determine efficiencies to support the Government and their mission.
  • Lead resource allocation strategies to meet Government objectives efficiently.
  • Collaborate with employees and program stakeholders to support program execution and operational success.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with internal teams, Government leadership, and external partners.

Program Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. (Required)
  • 5-10+ years of experience managing federal contracts and contractor teams, and meeting CDRL requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of managing contracts with numerous CDRLs and ensuring contractor teams are fully staffed and supported.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint Online, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with managing multi-million-dollar defense contracts and working knowledge of contract types such as FFP, CPFF, Cost Reimbursement, and T&M.
