Job Description

The Senior Manager / Manager, Program Management is responsible for the end-to-end program and project delivery of transformation and continuous improvement initiatives within AbbVie's OneHUB organization. Reporting into the OneHUB Strategy & Transformation function of OneHUB, this role applies consistent program management discipline to ensure OneHUB's strategic initiatives land on time, on scope, and with measurable business impact. The role works cross-functionally across OneHUB pillars and partners closely with functional business leaders. 

Responsibilities: List up to 10 main responsibilities for the job. Include information about accountability and scope. 

Program Planning & Roadmap Management 

  • Develop and maintain integrated program roadmaps, workplans, and milestone trackers that capture dependencies, critical path, and cross-workstream interactions across OneHUB pillars and functional partners 

  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives with competing timelines, proactively developing contingency and risk mitigation plans to keep programs on track 

  • Define budget requirements and track financials, reporting monthly actuals, forecasts, and plan schedules in alignment with financial reporting cycles 

Governance & Delivery Standards 

  • Establish and lead program-level governance cadences (including steering committees, working teams, and status reviews) by applying PMO standards, delivery methodologies, and portfolio management frameworks consistently across initiatives 

  • Proactively identify risks, issues, and interdependencies; drive mitigation and escalation; and make disciplined trade-off recommendations to resolve competing priorities 

  • Continuously evolve program management practices, including process controls, metrics, and change management approaches to ensure adoption and sustainability 

Cross-Functional Leadership 

  • Assemble and lead matrixed cross-functional teams across Operations, Digital & Data Excellence, Quality & Compliance, and People Excellence, driving clear accountability for deliverables and decisions 

  • Support adoption readiness, enterprise integration, transition planning, and vendor management across internal initiatives and partner across OneHUB functions to align program execution with broader organizational objectives and business requirements 

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting 

  • Track and report program KPIs, financials, and benefit realization, preparing executive-level updates for OneHUB leadership and the Strategy & Transformation Office 

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions and ensuring alignment on top-priority programs 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, science, or closely related discipline, or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence
  • 10+ years of combined experience in positions related to process development, project management, engineering/process support and manufacturing
  • Must have strong knowledge of GMP Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Validation, Engineering, CMC technical development and pharmaceutical regulations
  • Must have demonstrated organizational and planning skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have demonstrated strong project management skills with successful delivery of projects
  • Must be able to effectively facilitate the resolution of complex scientific, technical, analytical and business issues across functional lines
  • Plant experience a must
  • PMP certification a plus
  • Proficiency in multiple languages a plus
  • Position entails approximately 40% International travel to Global Sites/function
