Position Summary

The Dental Hygienist works closely with our dentists to support the oral health needs of our patients. This role focuses on delivering preventative and periodontal care, promoting patient education, and maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence in a team-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and preventative care
  • Conduct patient screenings, including medical history review and periodontal charting
  • Take dental radiographs for diagnostic purposes
  • Provide oral cancer screenings
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, home care, and disease prevention
  • Accurately document patient care in electronic records
  • Review and explain treatment plans and associated fees with patients
  • Communicate patient conditions and concerns with the dentist
  • Maintain operatory cleanliness and sterilization standards
  • Support team operations and assist with additional duties as needed

Requirements

  • Current Dental Hygienist license in the state of North Carolina
  • Completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene program (Associate's degree or certificate required)
  • Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
