The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) is the second largest college at North Carolina State University, a land-grant institution located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Agriculture and life sciences have been integral parts of North Carolina State University since the doors first opened in 1889.
The Agricultural Institute offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in six areas of agricultural disciplines. Essential Job Duties
The purpose of this position is to support the Agricultural Institute (AGI) in student success strategies and initiatives in alignment with the Director's priorities. They will provide customer service to clients and maintain routine business accounts and records.
These activities include but are not limited to, visitor management, website management, alumni database facilitation, financial transaction management and special events planning and facilitation. They will serve as the main program contact of the Advisory Board and support will be given to AGI teaching personnel through necessary teaching materials and technologies.
Other Responsibilities
  • Handle financial transactions (over time) in cooperation with the CALS Central Business Office.
  • Seek out ways to improve workflow efficiency and processes of the AGI team.
  • Assist with orientations and scheduling in cooperation with the Student Services Specialist.
  • Will assist with calendar management of the team and workflow management in cooperation with the Director.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience/Education
Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Office environment work experience.
  • Awareness of the impact of the Agricultural Institute and AGI alumni along with educational policies and procedures.
  • Training- basic business course, computer applications, and AI-based technology.
Required License or Certification
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Valid NC Driver's License within 60 days of start.
