Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Higher Education Training

Provides administrative oversight for the outreach, implementation, and management functions for assigned program.

Assist with planning, organizing, developing and facilitating assigned programs and events. Assist with the formation of partnerships with business, industry, community agencies, state and federal agencies to meet the needs of the assigned program. Enhance exposure to skilled workforce employment opportunities. Gather and maintain data for and assist in preparing reports, often using a variety of computer software; prepare statistics and reports on program participation, marketing responses, budget, and evaluations. Keep current on trends, compliance issues, regulations and guidelines regarding subject matter; advise supervisor accordingly. Monitor progress of all community partners, prepare reports and evaluations of activities as required. Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Education or related field required
  • 4 years experience in student retention, training, teaching, project management, program development and implementation, program sustainment required
  • Higher education experience preferred

Plans, initiates and implements programs and services to meet the immediate and long-range needs of one or more departments. Prepares speeches and/or remarks for the department/division head; assists as needed with news releases and public relations; responds to the press, officials, clients and the general public on more sensitive department/division issues. Assists the department/division in the effective discharge of responsibilities by furnishing analyses, appraisals, recommendations and information concerning the activities and programs reviewed. Attends meetings and conferences involving public and private groups and officials as representative of the department/division head and acts as liaison on matters involving other departments. Researches, analyzes and reviews new vendors, equipment, services and regulations
