Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies, Inc is seeking Production Support in Norfolk, VA. Production support is responsible for ordering supplies, material and services by preparing requisitions and statements of work, RFQ's as well as managing day-to-day metrics such as On-time Delivery (OTD), Master Schedule Attainment (MSA), and Work Order Attainment (WOA).
Essential Functions:
  • Monitor work order status and OTD in Costpoint.
  • Enter and manage requisitions
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure all supplies and materials are acquired to complete the task at hand
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine product specifications and requirements.
  • Review Bill of Materials (BOM's) and determine pricing
  • Interfacing with vendors to support production needs
  • Document production data and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes to meet production goals.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:
  • Requires highly developed job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Costpoint or other ERP Software.
  • Proficiency in operating in Microsoft excel.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend and reach for extended periods.
