Job description

The Virginia Retirement System (VRS) is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support its Investment Decision Support (IDS) team in improving enterprise content management (ECM), data management, and business processes. The role involves working with investment stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, analyze workflows, recommend process improvements, design document governance frameworks, support data and document lifecycle management, create technical documentation, conduct testing, develop training materials, and provide reporting insights. Candidates should have a Bachelorโ€™s degree, 7+ years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, process improvement, and document/data management, along with 3+ years of ECM experience in government, investment, or financial services environments. Strong communication, documentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills are required. Experience with process automation tools, reporting dashboards, and knowledge of investment or financial services is highly preferred. This is a 12-month hybrid contract position with potential extension, requiring onsite work in Richmond, VA 2โ€“3 days per week.
