The Production Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for leading the site scheduling team in developing and maintaining detailed shop floor schedules that translate the production plan into sequenced and time-phased tasks for manufacturing operations. This role works closely with production, procurement, demand planning, materials, and logistics teams to ensure the efficient flow of production orders, minimize downtime, and support on-time delivery of Excellerate.

The Production Scheduling Supervisor will maintain the Master Production Schedule and focuses on short-term scheduling execution, resource balancing, and real-time adjustments to maintain operational alignment with production goals.

The ideal candidate is solutions-oriented, detail-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift frequently and precision matters.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred.

Experience: 4-8 years of experience in production scheduling, shop floor coordination, or master production schedule maintenance. Experience in OEM, discrete manufacturing, or configure-to-order environments preferred.

Travel: 0-10%

Work Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Works a sufficient schedule to meet the expectations of the role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Master Production Schedule & Shop Floor Scheduling Execution:

  • Maintain and slot orders in the MPS.
  • Ensure schedulers maintain detailed production schedules that sequence production orders across production lines, work centers, and shifts.
  • Ensure schedules align with material availability, labor resources, and capacity constraints.

Coordination & Communication:

  • Ensure schedule changes are clearly communicated to relevant stakeholders and ensure alignment with delivery timelines.
  • Monitor schedule adherence and work with team to adjust schedules in response to demand fluctuations and operational constraints.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead a team of schedulers and scheduling coordinators providing performance feedback, guidance, and development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

System and Data Accuracy:

  • Leverage the ERP and APS systems, to manage the schedules, track performance, and drive improvements.
  • Track key performance indicators such as schedule adherence, capacity utilization, and on-time delivery.
  • Generate reports and visual tools to communicate scheduling performance and trends.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and optimize improvements in scheduling logic, sequencing, constraints, and processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives focused on lead time reduction, flow improvement, and responsiveness.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
