Job description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The System Analyst is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of enterprise systems across both cloud and on-premises environments, with a specific focus on Azure infrastructure and retail endpoint operations. This role designs, deploys, and maintains production systems while managing configuration, build, and release processes to support stable and scalable technology services. The System Analyst troubleshoots complex issues spanning platform, application, and infrastructure layers, driving rapid resolution and minimizing operational impact.
In addition to cloud and infrastructure responsibilities, the System Analyst oversees the full lifecycle of Windows operating systems and retail endpoint technologies, including POS devices, scanners, payment systems, and peripheral hardware. This includes developing and maintaining standardized images, managing updates and patches, monitoring endpoint health, and ensuring compliance with security and configuration standards. The role supports continual service improvement by implementing automation, optimizing system architectures, and evaluating new technologies to improve efficiency and long-term operational value.
The System Analyst plays a critical role in supporting store operations by responding to retail-related incidents, ensuring the stability of frontline systems, and maintaining the technical foundation necessary for consistent and uninterrupted service delivery across all retail locations.

1. Deploy, automate, maintain, and manage Azure cloud-based production systems to ensure availability, performance, scalability, and security of production environments.
2. Perform build, release, and configuration management of production systems across cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
3. Conduct system troubleshooting and problem solving across platform, application, and infrastructure domains, ensuring rapid issue resolution.
4. Recommend architecture improvements, process enhancements, and system optimizations to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
5. Evaluate new technology options and vendor products to determine organizational fit, performance impact, and long-term value.
6. Ensure critical system security by applying best-in-class cloud, OS, and endpoint security practices.
7. Support continual service improvement by automating manual implementation tasks across on-premises and Azure environments.
8. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
9. Manage Windows OS lifecycle across retail endpoints, including version control, feature updates, patch deployment, and security compliance.
10. Oversee and deploy driver updates and firmware maintenance for POS hardware, scanners, payment devices, printers, and other retail peripherals.
11. Maintain standardized Windows configurations using Bigfix.
12. Develop, maintain, and update Windows golden images for retail hardware; validate images against retail applications and hardware prior to deployment.
13. Plan, test, and execute Windows update and image rollouts to retail stores, coordinating pilot groups, monitoring deployment success, and remediating failures.
14. Monitor endpoint health, patch compliance, and configuration drift across all retail locations, taking corrective action as needed.
15. Provide support for retail related incidents affecting store operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
