A Day In The Life
The Product & System Configuration Analyst will manage system functionality, rating & vehicle class guides for new and refreshed products in the GSFS policy administration system. In addition, the position will provide analysis and recommendations in the development of product contract language, pricing support, ad hoc reporting and special assignments. The Analyst is responsible for producing analysis and reporting that is requested by internal GSFS customers, agents and dealers. The Analyst will develop their knowledge of administration system functionality, data mining, consumer contract language, financial modeling and general business practices in this critical role.

As a Prod & Sys Config Analyst you will:

  • Manage the set up and configuration of vended software, in the GSFS policy administration system, to administer F&I products in accordance with product development specifications for new and refreshed F&I offerings
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, to gather product blueprint specifications, construct product administration functionality, test output results, and review tested output results with department associates and other GSFS departments
  • Perform data mining and organization of information in the management of product line key performance measurers and profitability
  • Actively participate in the analysis of consumer facing product language and make recommendations
  • Effectively manage assigned projects to take on special assignments requiring a high level of attention or with little notice - including but not limited to (1) written summaries to Leadership of business opportunities (2) creation of supporting exhibits in Excel and (3) presentations in PowerPoint
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports and pricing analysis to Leadership, Product Managers, Finance and other internal GSFS clients; use influence with peers when seeking information or assistance

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Information/Management Information Systems or other relevant field required.
  • 1-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. F&I experience a plus.
  • Strong problem solving and business logic organization.
  • PC skills through vended software
    • Ability to learn new software functionality through interaction with other associates and outside software providers
  • Proficient using computer software including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills

Physical and Environmental RequirementsThe physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
