Job Title: Homeowner Product System Analyst

Location: Austin, TX / Dallas, TX 

Reporting to:Senior Manager, Insurance Product Operations

About You: 

We are looking for a Homeowner Product System Analyst who is accountable for the management and translation of business projects into engineering requirements. This position works closely with the Insurance Product Team and Engineering to accurately portray business project needs into clear engineering deliverables. 

What You'll Do: 

  • Work with other members of the Insurance Product and Engineering Teams supporting our core projects related to rating, underwriting, forms, and business rules
  • Update various internal and external documents which outline the project needs into clear engineering instructions
  • Maintain daily communication with Engineering partners to ensure projects are completed by set deadlines
  • Maintain source of truth and library documentation on existing programming structures
  • Perform post production testing to ensure completeness and accuracy of product changes
  • Meticulously create and update various engineering-oriented programming files that serve as source of truth for our product offerings
  • Assist with defect resolution by performing individual policy look ups and problem solving

Must Haves: 

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a business or analytical discipline
  • Three or more years of experience in a related business systems analysis and technical implementation roles within the Personal Lines Insurance sector
  • Ability to partner with and understand both insurance business and technical platform engineering concepts
  • Strong analytical skills, advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Experience writing engineering product tickets that outline business needs 

Nice to Haves: 

  • Prior experience with a Top 20 Personal Lines Homeowners writer
  • Prior Homeowner Insurance experience
  • A solid understanding of Personal Lines Insurance
  • Experience with SQL, Jira, Confluence, VBA Editor tools
