Job description

Job Purpose:
The Product Support Engineer position will provide front line product support to customers utilizing Avionica products. This support will typically be telephone based, but may include on-site support in cases where deemed beneficial. The product support engineer will work with engineering, production, quality, and sales staff within Avionica throughout the life cycle of the product to promptly analyze and resolve customer needs arising from use of Avionica products.
This is a full-time, 40-hour position structured as four 10-hour shifts per week. The shift assignment is as follows:
  • Sunday, 9AM-8PM (with hour lunch), remote
  • Mon, Tues, Wed, 9AM-8PM (with hour lunch), on-site

Necessary training will be held in Miami office during onboarding period. Supplemental training after onboarding period will occur in Miami office as needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain familiarity with the design and operation of current and newly released Avionica products.
  • Interface with current customers at all levels, as required, for the diagnosis and resolution of field failures or problems.
  • Aid personnel where necessary to identify and resolve challenges arising during the production phase and subsequent field use of Avionica products.
  • Work with internal research and development personnel as required in implementing complex changes to existing products.
  • Research and recommend solutions for component availability/reliability issues arising during the life cycle of the product.
  • Generate documentation, as required, to support the modification and verification of released hardware and software designs including, but not limited to:

- Service letters
- FAQ's
  • Interface with other internal and external personnel including, but not limited to:

- External aircraft maintenance and support personnel.
- Production and Quality personnel
- Engineering personnel
- Sales personnel
  • May travel as much as needed to accommodate above duties.

Requirements/Desired Knowledge and Skill:
  • Weekend availability is required.
  • Familiarity with computer networks and communication is a plus, though not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with aircraft systems and avionics equipment is a plus, though not mandatory.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to learn.
