As a Product Manager in Merchant Services - Product Pricing Strategy, you are an integral part of the team that innovates pricing for our merchant services product offerings and leads strategic initiatives across the payments life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to commercialize product offerings, you guide the successful strategy for key products by gathering crucial feedback from stakeholders to ensure top-tier merchant experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality offerings that exceed customer expectations. Bring your strategic expertise to Product Pricing Strategy, where you'll leverage data-driven insights, user research, customer feedback, and performance metrics to evaluate commercial initiatives, drive pricing strategy, and continuously improve existing solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop pricing strategy and vision that delivers value to customers
  • Manage discovery efforts and market research to uncover critical considerations as a part of the overall product roadmap
  • Own, maintain, and develop pricing strategies that support commercial strategy and value proposition
  • Build frameworks and devise approach to unlock additional value for merchants, such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
  • Partner with Product Management, Sales, Technology, and other stakeholders to identify and validate commercial initiatives through analysis and evaluation, grounded in customer needs and market dynamics
  • Evaluate and plan for upstream and downstream impacts of new pricing features to ensure a cohesive, end-to-end product experience
  • Quantify and communicate business cases for priority initiatives, including market sizing, pricing and economics, cost-to-serve impacts, and performance improvement potential
  • Lead tactical and strategic pricing initiatives, coordinating stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and adoption
  • Develop and manage approaches to support optimization opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with Fraud/Risk, Disputes/Operations, Legal/Compliance, and Commercialization to ensure solutions are operationally viable, controlled, and ready for market adoption
  • Partner with team members and ensure alignment for strategy to drive the pricing approach

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
  • 3+ years of experience (or equivalent expertise) in billing, pricing, revenue management and optimization, or a relevant domain
  • Strong analytical capability to develop business cases, define success metrics, and use data to prioritize work and validate outcomes; demonstrated strength in analytical research and structured problem-solving
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across complex stakeholder groups, including product, technology, operations, risk, and commercial teams
  • Executive-ready communication skills - confidence presenting to C-level executives (written and verbal), facilitating cross-functional decision forums, and influencing without direct authority
  • Proven track record managing cross-functional initiatives from initiation through delivery
  • Highly analytical and creative problem-solver who can assess technical landscapes, identify patterns and opportunities, build business cases, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing demands
  • Experience with managing multiple initiatives simultaneously while ensuring thorough evaluation
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel, plus familiarity with business databases and tools

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
  • In-depth knowledge of the Merchant Acquiring industry, operating principles, and procedures or similar area of expertise 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; 5+ years in the Merchant Services industry preferred
  • Understanding of legal and regulatory considerations related to billing and pricing, with a strong commitment to a robust controls environment; ability to identify revenue opportunities, key risks, and practical mitigants
  • Background partnering with control functions (Risk, Compliance, Legal) to deliver controlled product changes in regulated environments
  • Working knowledge of Snowflake (e.g., leveraging cloud data warehouse capabilities for analytics, reporting, and data-driven decisioning)
  • Familiarity with payments ecosystem dynamics and how pricing and economics drive merchant value
