Job Summary

The Product Pricing Analyst will assist the Product Management team with a variety of customer-related matters that often require a higher degree of evaluation, data analysis and collaboration. Common types of customer requests include contract proposals, pricing agreements, cost breakdown requests, capacity inquiries and other strategic business opportunities. The Product Pricing Analyst will also validate system costs, identify and track cost outliers and determine strategies to help improve company profitability. The Product Pricing Analyst will have the opportunity to work with other departments on a variety of company-wide initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for review and analysis of customer pricing proposals and Smalley's product cost inputs

  • Develop sales, pricing and margin strategy as a key member of the Estimating Team

  • Sales, pricing and contract negotiations

  • Actively support Estimating, Sales, Customer Service, Engineering and Operations

  • Develop sales and pricing strategies involving foreign affiliates and distributors

  • Cost validation

  • Work with key customers to complete a variety of customer documentation, including pricing letters, min/max agreements, stocking agreements, award letters, and other key commercial agreements

  • Customer relationship management

  • Process customer quotations

  • Training, mentoring and team collaboration

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance with experience conducting data analysis

  • Ability to extract and analyze data and make data-driven decisions

  • Ability to organize, execute and deliver results in a timely manner

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 with strong Excel skills

  • Experience using business intelligence/analytics software a plus

  • Manufacturing experience a plus

  • Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is$70,000 - $80,000 USD.Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.This role is bonus/and or incentive eligible.
