Job description

Company Description Miniature Casting Corporation is a long-established manufacturer of precision zinc die cast components, serving the medical, electronics, automotive, microwave, and general hardware industries since 1962. The company is known for producing world-class components that require high accuracy and reliability. The organization values quality, consistency, and continuous improvement in all aspects of operations. Team members can expect a stable, manufacturing environment with a dynamic day-to-day workload.

Role Description The Operations Associate is a full-time, on-site position based in Cranston, RI. This role supports daily manufacturing and operational activities, including coordinating production schedules, tracking work orders, and helping ensure materials and components are available when needed. The Operations Associate will assist with monitoring workflow on the shop floor, documenting production data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as production, quality, and logistics. They will help identify and resolve routine operational issues, support continuous improvement efforts, and maintain accurate records in line with company standards. The role also includes responding to internal and external inquiries, supporting customer order fulfillment, contributing to a safe, efficient workplace, managing/preparing financial statements, daily invoicing generating, monthly pricing and managing A/R and A/P.

Qualifications

  • Strong operations and production support skills, with the ability to coordinate tasks, follow standard operating procedures, multitask, and support process improvements.
  • Analytical skills to review production data, identify trends/issues and arriving at conclusions through data management.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, production or ERP systems, and standard office software, with the ability to quickly learn new software and concepts.
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, to document activities, share updates, and interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and collaboration abilities to work closely with production staff, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Customer service mindset to support order fulfillment, respond to inquiries, and help ensure on-time, quality delivery to customers.
  • Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environment, including standing or moving on the shop floor as needed and following safety guidelines.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred but not required.
