Job description

Timpte is looking for a Product Engineer to join our Lincoln team. Our Brand New Lincoln Manufacturing Center supports our Equipment Trailer, Thunderstone Manufacturing and Lincoln Marine brands.

The Product Engineer plans and designs current product production and improvement and/or plans and designs research, development and testing of products as it aligns with Engineering processes.

Pay for this position is $75-85k/year (depending on experience) + Monthly Bonus (up to $5,000 per year)!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the design of Products and Processes.

• Create and test Product Prototypes.

• Collaborate with Product Development Teams.

• Support design efforts of Product Engineering Team for new products and models as required.

• Support the design and testing of critical components for existing and new models and options as required; utilize FEA Analysis as a testing medium for proposed design and/or structural changes for new and existing models, components and testing.

• Support testing procedures with R&D personnel and establish testing criteria for new designs and existing products and components, support test fixture development as required.

• Support the specification of materials and structures to enhance product performance in the Field.

• Review designs for possible cost reductions and develop design improvements where applicable.

• Work with Warranty to identify and rectify product/component problems identified by warranty claims; support the reduction of warranty expenses through analysis of warranty claims and review for design improvements.

• Work with Salesmen/Field Reports to identify and rectify product problems; travel as required as part of research and problem solving analysis.

• Performs additional duties as assigned by management or required by the position.


What We're Looking For:

• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or an Associate's Degree with minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; including Word, Excel, etc. as well as ability to operated a CAD system and software.

• Technician writing experience required.

• Must have an understanding of a wide range of production processes.
