Senior Process Optimization Engineer

Bring technical manufacturing depth, project leadership, and process excellence to our Operations. In this role, you’ll partner with internal and external customers to shape, document, and continuously improve how our products are built—boosting efficiency, reliability, manufacturability, and cost performance across our lines.

A day in the life
  • Walk the floor with Operations to tackle urgent issues and apply advanced troubleshooting with documented outcomes.
  • Lead or contribute to cross‑functional projects from concept through delivery, owning long‑term cost, quality, and delivery results.
  • Design robust production methods; confirm capability meets business needs and validate equipment and special processes.
  • Turn know‑how into clear work instructions and training materials to sustain team proficiency.
  • Use statistical and financial analysis to spot trends and drive systemic improvements—quality up, cost/lead time/scrap down.
  • Apply Lean and Theory of Constraints to optimize cells, workflows, and teams against key metrics.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate new concepts, tooling, and equipment; manage plans, timelines, and budgets to implement them.
How you’ll make an impact
  • Directly support the Operations team with hands‑on problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Elevate manufacturability and reliability by refining methods, designs, and documentation.
  • Accelerate delivery by qualifying/validating the right processes and standardizing best practices.
What you bring
  • BS in an engineering discipline and 5+ years of manufacturing experience, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Proven command of structured problem solving and root cause analysis tools.
  • Track record owning broad‑scope projects, prioritizing effectively, and meeting timelines.
  • Excellent cross‑functional communication and teamwork to move critical tasks forward.
  • Ability to lead Lean or TOC initiatives.
  • Experience in ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or medical device manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Modeling/drafting experience using SolidWorks or similar CAD.
  • Knowledge of drafting standards and GD&T.
  • Familiarity with MasterCam, Esprit, Partmaker, or similar CAM tools is a plus.
  • Proficiency area: Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering.
