Provide engineering and technical expertise for Urbana facility, to continuously improve plant safety, quality, and productivity.
How you'll make an impact...
  • Support manufacturing productivity by troubleshooting processes, improving quality, and training operators.
  • Collect, analyze, and document process data; monitor key variables and report findings.
  • Lead process engineering and continuous improvement initiatives for new and existing products.
  • Provide on-call technical support to resolve machine and quality issues, including periodic weekend coverage.
  • Conduct development trials to optimize operations on the paper machine and in the converting area.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements, including new equipment or chemical solutions to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Collaborate with management, engineering, maintenance, operations, and lab teams to improve process performance.
  • Manage projects such as equipment purchases, installations, process enhancements, and new product development.
  • Train and guide operators to ensure proper process execution and understanding.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations while performing assigned duties.

  • Bachelor's degree in Paper Science, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Three to five years' experience in a manufacturing setting desired.
  • Effectively utilize computer-based applications including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
