Job Description

Responsible for business process analysis incl. business process mapping and modeling and defining the future state process design, requirements elicitation, analysis incl. prioritization and documentation (incl. all typical techniques and types of documentation, e.g. use cases, logical data model, conceptual UI design, report design, etc.), systems and gap analysis and evaluation of solution alternatives, as well as coordination of user acceptance testing. Produces clear and concise written communications, and responds to change requests that impact business requirements. Assesses and anticipates issues, risks, and business impacts and participates in the development of business cases. 


Typically functions as a contributor within a project team and providing critical BSA deliverables like Business Requirements Documents or Functional Specifications. Can also function as a team leader in complex projects incl. reviewing other BSA's deliverables. Leads major workshops and facilitates group discussions; leads and acts as a subject matter expert. Evaluates large, complex problems and breaks them down into smaller, solvable problems. Independently identifies and executes solutions based upon analytical skills and business knowledge. Must be able to present to executives. 

Key Accountabilities: 

Demonstrate deep understanding of the business domain and drive for future state design that resolves current state issues following the business vision 

Lead the conversation with the business customer to elicit and verify requirements 

Apply appropriate BSA methods and techniques to deliver work products across multiple phases of a project 

Drive cross-functional alignment and prioritization of requirements within and across projects 

Demonstrate an understanding of how process and technology can be integrated to deliver high business value and apply knowledge of the client's business requirements to describe the relationship between the proposed solution and trade-offs 

Demonstrate deep understanding of typical software development lifecycle methodologies including waterfall and agile 

Systematically address business as well as technical problems 

Drive work efforts to be in line with the underlying IT strategy 

Assist in the definition of performance measures for a client 

Assume additional responsibilities as assigned 

Develop value propositions and business cases 


Related Work Experience: 


At least 6 months of experience in Loan Servicing, finance, or escrow 

At least 2 year of experience as Business Systems Analyst

MS Excel and SQL 

Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail 

Experience working directly with users to define business rules and processes 

High School Diploma/GED
