Location: Progress Fire Company Home Association
Pay: Commensurate to experience

Reports to: Club President and Board of Trustees
Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Manage all aspects of the club including its activities and the relationships between the club and its Executive Board of Officers, employees, members, and guests. Administer the club’s policies as defined by its Board of Officers. Develop operatingpolicies and procedures and direct the work of all department managers. Work with the treasurer and finance committee in implementing and monitoring the budget, monitor the quality of the club’s products and ensure maximum member and guest satisfaction.

Experience
  • 3 + years management experience in the private club/hospitality industry required.
  • Bartending/serving experience preferred (if not already, must be RAMP certified within first week of employment)

 Job Tasks/Duties       
  • Implement general policies established by the Executive Board of Officers and directs their administration and execution.
  • Discuss with the President and Board of Trustees issues facing the club and identify actual or anticipated problems.
  • Monitor long- and short-term objectives and financial reports and, in consultation with the treasurer and finance committee, prepare a financial plan for the club.
  • Manage the club’s cash flow and follow established controls to safeguard funds.
  • Set the standard for effective management and demonstrate a concern for the supervision and development of the staff.
  • Establish employee rules and regulations, work schedules, and internal controls.
  • Monitor budget and other financial statements; take effective corrective action as required; approve vouchers before payment.
  • Welcome new club members and develop ongoing dialogue and rapport with members through recognition, communication, and follow-through.
  • Consistently assure that the club is operated in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
  • Ensure the highest standards for food and beverage, including quality and consistency, entertainment, and other club services
  • Work with department managers to schedule, supervise and direct the work of all club employees.
  • Confer with the President and Board of Trustees about personnel-related matters including compensation, scheduling issues, job changes, and performance evaluation.
  • Conduct regular full staff meetings.
  • Attend meetings of the club’s Executive Board as well as the Board of Trustees.
  • Serves as liaison between all management staff and the board.
  • Negotiate and receive the President and Board of Trustees approval for contracts.
  • Ensures proper cleanliness and sanitation of all club facilities and environments.
  • Work with the kitchen manager to create specials and make updates to the menu as needed.
  • Input food and beverage inventory and ensure that the treasurer receives it in a timely manner.
  • Performs other duties and functions as the President and Board of Trustees may direct that are consistent with this job description.
