Amazon Prime Video is looking for a motivated and experienced leader to oversee Piracy Prevention & Privacy Engineering functions reporting directly to the leader of the READI (Resilience, Availability & Demand Insights) team within Amazon Prime Video. The main objective of the role is to ensure that Prime Video applications are designed, operated, maintained and protected to maintain customer trust. The role requires a rare mix of broad, business and technical acumen wrapped in a persona that motivates business leaders, peers, partners, stakeholders and employees to continually act in a way that helps to secure the commercial success and customer experience for Prime Video. This role requires strong people-management skills, the ability to inspire and lead in a global context and relevant industry credentials.
The ideal candidate must be a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and compellingly and who understands how to drive a high level of operational and strategic excellence within a team and collaborate with a variety of internal and external business partners. A proven history of leading security and privacy engineering teams, setting security and privacy strategy, developing risk assessment and mitigation programs. Additionally, strong Program Management experience and the ability to influence and manage deliverables across a highly diverse global organization is essential.
Key job responsibilities
Drive the creation, review, and implementation of technical security and privacy related requirements across multiple engineering teams.
Lead strategic piracy prevention and privacy planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing pragmatic, layered, defense initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future content security and privacy technologies.
Translate security and privacy controls to technical and non-technical partners.
Design, deploy, and automate benchmarking to piracy prevention and privacy controls in AWS.
Operate effectively in fast-paced consumer facing product development environment.
Drive security and privacy efforts to enable Prime Video to enter regulated markets, identify gaps for continuous improvement and action.
A day in the life
You will work with product and engineering teams from initiation to deployment and will be responsible for the security and privacy throughout the development lifecycle, interfacing with key stakeholders and driving programs to secure the customer experience. This includes finding new ways to streamline and scale security and privacy initiatives across Prime Video.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of people management experience
- 7+ years of technical program management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Experience in people management
- Experience in technical program management
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of work in internet-related program or technical product management in a software applications environment experience
- Knowledge of cloud computing services or deployment architecture
- Experience working in an internet-related program or technical product management in a software applications environment
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience with agile or other program management methodologies
- Master's degree or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
