Job description

Privacy and trust are of utmost priority and to deliver customer-obsessed and privacy sensitive products. We are looking for a technology program manager to implement privacy compliance obligations and drive large, cross functional implementation initiatives for Amazon Shopping. You will partner with a large set of business and technical leaders to implement both processes and privacy tools to raise the Privacy bar. You will evaluate new products and services to identify compliance obligations and help design solutions to meet them. You must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high complexity and ambiguity.
Key job responsibilities
*Identifying and driving compliance to global privacy-related regulations, policies, and customer promises across AI shopping initiatives.
*Partnering with legal, and other partner teams to implement emerging privacy-related regulatory, market or other compliance needs.
*Creating clear guidance for developers, product managers to understand applicable privacy controls and steps to manage compliance.
*Develop and maintain strong working relationships with technical and non-technical teams and stakeholders.
*Scope, plan, implement, and deliver privacy programs while collaborating with engineering, product managers, design, legal, business owners and senior leadership to align with strategic vision and goals.
*Own successful delivery of large, impactful, and highly cross-functional program initiatives while simultaneously tracking a set of smaller projects.
*Drive strategic cross-functional planning, leading discovery and prioritization by closely working with product and engineering leads to develop privacy programs, including high-level technical design, dependency identifications, and resourcing plans.
*Establish metrics and regular reporting mechanisms for measuring results, progress and gaps in performance and compliance.
*Evaluate solution designs and complex business and technical requirements, and identify and implement simplifiers to accelerate time-to-market.
*Communicate plans, status, and critical issues clearly and effectively.
*Conduct deep dive privacy and regulatory compliance assessments
A day in the life
On any given day, you'll be engaging with product managers and software developers to assess their features (and AI models) for privacy and compliance implications. You'll provide guidance (both practical and technical) to ensure we hold a high bar for privacy. You'll be interacting with stakeholders across Amazon, leading programs to strengthen our privacy posture and build customer trust. You'll help design, implement, and run an AI governance program driving the responsible and ethical use of data in AI.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience identifying and solving complex problems through data analysis
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience
- Experience managing compliance to privacy-focused regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and COPPA.
- Security or Privacy industry certifications.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
