Job description

The Amazon Health Services (AHS) Privacy team is seeking a talented Sr. Privacy Manager to support the AHS Privacy program. As a Sr. Privacy Manager, you will leverage your background in privacy, risk, and compliance to identify, assess, and manage risks to sensitive health data processed by AHS. In this highly visible role, you will partner with stakeholders across Amazon to execute risk mitigation strategies and influence business and technology decisions that across AHS products and services. You will work independently with the ability to prioritize workloads, remain flexible, and maintain a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment while supporting multiple lines of business
Key job responsibilities
* Establishing privacy controls to meet compliance objectives for regulations applicable to health data.
* Performing assessments of privacy controls effectiveness and maturity.
* Assessing, measuring, managing, and reporting privacy risks to health data using Amazon's risk management framework.
* Advising senior leadership on risk prioritization decisions that balance customer experience and product roadmaps.
* Developing strategies to identify and classify health data throughout AHS services.
* Driving process improvement and control implementation projects in coordination with the application teams. This may include the resolution of audit findings and the execution of projects originated from internal assessments.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of program management, project management or product management experience
- 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- 3+ years of security-related professional experience
