Job description

Location: Sarasota, FL / Remote / Hybrid

About the Role

Truth Social is looking for a Lead QA Analyst to be the last set of human eyes on every new feature before it reaches our users. This role is about hands-on, manual exploration of the app clicking through new flows, poking at edge cases, and thinking like a real user (and like someone trying to break things) before a feature moves from engineering to product sign-off and launch.

You won't be writing automation scripts or building test frameworks. You'll be leading a small team of testers through structured (and unstructured) manual test passes, documenting what you find, and giving product and engineering teams a clear, confident this is ready or this isn't."

    What You'll Do

    • Own the testing process for new features and updates before they're approved for release
    • Design test plans and test cases based on product specs and user stories, then execute them by hand across devices
    • Lead a small team of QA testers, assigning test coverage and reviewing their findings
    • Perform exploratory testing to catch issues automated tests and spec documents miss broken flows, confusing UX, inconsistent behavior
    • Test across iOS, Android, and web to confirm consistent look, feel, and functionality
    • Document bugs clearly (steps to reproduce, screenshots/recordings, severity) and track them through to resolution
    • Partner closely with Product Managers to understand intended behavior and sign off on feature readiness
    • Communicate testing status and outstanding risks to product and leadership ahead of each release
    • Maintain a repository of test cases and checklists for recurring feature types (posting, messaging, notifications, moderation flows, etc.)
    • Flag usability, content, and edge-case concerns that could affect the end-user experience, especially around sensitive areas like content moderation and privacy settings
    • Coordinate final pre-launch bug bashes with cross-functional participants ahead of major releases

    What We're Looking For

    • 5+ years of QA/testing experience, with at least 1-2 years leading or mentoring other testers
    • Strong hands-on experience with manual, exploratory testing
    • Comfortable testing across iOS, Android, and web platforms
    • A sharp eye for detail and a knack for finding the edge cases others miss
    • Experience writing clear test plans, test cases, and bug reports that engineers and PMs can act on
    • Strong communication skills comfortable being the person who tells a team this isn't ready yet
    • Experience working closely with Product teams (rather than purely within engineering)
    • Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Linear, TestRail)
    • Understanding of social media platform dynamics: feeds, posting, direct messaging, notifications, content moderation

    Nice to Have

    • Experience testing content moderation or trust & safety features
    • Background in UX or usability testing
    • Familiarity with basic automation tools, even if not the primary focus of the role
    • Experience in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment
    • Experience testing REST APIs using Postman or similar tools.

    Why Join Us

    • Be the final human check on features used by a passionate, engaged user base
    • High-visibility role with direct input into what does and doesn't ship
    • Collaborative, fast-moving culture that values sharp judgment and attention to detail
    • Competitive salary and benefits package
