Job description

Salary: $31.00-$45.00/hour

As a Seasonal Tax Staff, you'll be providing expert guidance, tax preparation, and explanations of tax and technical terms to our clients. The target dates for this seasonal position are January to April of each year, this position has the option to return each year to assist during busy season.


You will prepare business tax returns and other assigned tasks. In understanding tax regulations and accounting pronouncements, you will provide quality tax services to clients by completing tax planning and research as well as preparing federal, state, and local tax returns for review.


The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations for business and personal tax returns, as well as significant experience in preparing and filing business and personal tax returns.


Some of your responsibilities will include:


  • Preparing tax returns, organizing work papers and conducting self-review of work.
  • Organizing facts, analyzing and interpreting information.
  • Maintain sensitive client, confidential and/or proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner.
  • Interact with clients and team members in a professional manner while adhering to and promoting FMF&E's values.


Requirements:


Qualified candidates should have excellent communication skills, self-confidence, and be self-motivated and capable of working productively in a professional environment. You must be conscientious, detailed-oriented and have excellent analytical and organizational skills. You must hold a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or other applicable field with an active CPA license. A basic knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications is required; and experience with financial/accounting software applications is a plus.
