Job Summary
CRH Americas Building Products is looking for a Principal Solution Architect to join our Center of Excellence (COE). The Principal Solution Architect will be responsible for oversight of the end-to-end enterprise application landscape not limited to but focused on SAP S4/HANA, Salesforce, and adjacent bolt-ons.
This position will be a critical member of the COE and work closely with business stakeholder, IT functional teams, technical teams, and multiple system integration partners in architecting, designing, implementing, and governing the digital enterprise systems landscape for a large business process transformation program involving an S/4 Hana and Salesforce CRM/CPQ implementation.
This role requires deep expertise in enterprise architecture, business process design, and system integration, focusing on aligning IT solutions with business objectives.
Job Location
  • This role will work hybrid out of our office in the Sandy Springs, GA area.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of integrated solutions across SAP S/4HANA and Salesforce platforms.
  • Develop and maintain a long-term roadmap for the solution architecture, ensuring alignment with business strategy and scalability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and translate them into project plans, functional & technical specifications and architecture designs.
  • Oversee system integrations, ensuring seamless data flow between SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, and associated enterprise applications.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other COE team members, development teams, innovation, and optimization teams ensuring adherence to business needs, best practices, and architecture standards.
  • Partner with the Innovation Capabilities leader to evaluate new technologies, platforms, and tools to drive continuous improvement within the enterprise solutions architecture.
  • Provide leadership for implementation efforts and ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of the delivered solution.
  • Act as the technical liaison between business units and IT teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, security standards, and internal policies.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and external partners to drive successful solution delivery.
  • Guide the development of technical and functional documentation, including architecture diagrams, solution designs, and operational procedures.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, with significant experience in multiple modules and implementations of SAP and Salesforce.
  • Strong experience in system integration, cloud architecture, and API management.
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale SAP and Salesforce implementations, including configuration, customization, and support.
  • Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA modules (such as finance, supply chain, and logistics) and Salesforce (such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud, and Configure Price Quote).
  • Familiarity with middleware platforms and tools for data integration (e.g., BTP, CPI, MuleSoft).
  • SAP and Salesforce certifications.
  • Experience with DevOps, Agile, waterfall, and hybrid implementation methodologies.
  • Knowledge of additional ERP systems, CRM platforms, data warehouse (Snowflake), data visualization (Tableau), or cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of business processes in the manufacturing industry
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
