What does a typical day look like for a teletherapy provider at Presence Learning?

As a teletherapy provider at PresenceLearning, your typical day involves conducting virtual therapy sessions with students, preparing individualized lesson plans, and maintaining thorough documentation of progress. You may collaborate with school staff, caregivers, and other therapists to ensure comprehensive support for each student. The role is largely remote, offering flexibility, but also requires strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and schedules efficiently. Team meetings and professional development opportunities are common, which foster a sense of community and ongoing learning even in a virtual environment.

Job description

Posting Date
08/11/2026
2000 16th St, Denver, Colorado, 80202-5117, United States of America
Director, Learning Technology
Location: Remote or Denver Hybrid (Preferred)
The Opportunity
DaVita is elevating learning capabilities for 70,000+ teammates across the Village. Within Wisdom, our enterprise learning organization, the Learning Technology function owns the platforms (LMS/LXP) and associated architecture and integrations that power everything from clinical onboarding to leadership development, and an expanding ecosystem of experience, workflow, and AI-enabled technologies.
We are seeking a Director of Learning Technology to own that learning ecosystem and the decisions that shape it. This is not a platform administration or vendor-management role. It is a decision-making role at the intersection of technology architecture, learning strategy, and enterprise execution - the person who can sit across from an implementation partner, understand the technical implications of what is being proposed, weigh cost, scope, and teammate experience in real time, and make the call.
The ideal candidate brings a rare combination: enough technical depth to own architecture and integration decisions without translation, enough learning domain expertise to know what good looks like for a teammate, and enough executive presence and strategic thinking to effectively advise and influence senior leaders and partners.
Your Impact
As the leader of Learning Technology, you will:
  • Own the Decisions: Serve as the accountable owner for learning technology architecture, platform strategy, and implementation direction. Make consequential technical and strategic decisions with incomplete information, defend them with senior stakeholders, and change course when the evidence warrants - without escalating every judgment call.
  • Architect the Ecosystem: Define where DaVita's learning technology is going - platform architecture, integration strategy, data flows, and the roadmap for emerging capabilities including AI-enabled learning - and lead the product management team that operationalizes it.
  • Lead Enterprise Delivery: Direct high-complexity, high-visibility technology implementations in partnership with enterprise Technology, People Services, and external implementation partners, holding the line on scope, sequencing, and teammate experience through sprint-based delivery.
  • Partner at the Executive Level: Serve as the trusted technology voice for VP- and C-level sponsors - bringing them real risk, real tradeoffs, and real recommendations rather than status updates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Architecture
Own the multi-year learning technology strategy and architecture for the enterprise, including platform consolidation decisions, integration patterns, identity and data flows, governance models, and build-versus-buy evaluation. Establish the intake and prioritization discipline that determines which technologies enter the ecosystem and which do not.
Decision Ownership & Vendor Partnership
Serve as the decision authority in vendor and implementation-partner engagements - evaluating proposed technical approaches, understanding downstream cost and timeline implications, negotiating scope, and rendering decisions at the pace delivery requires. Own commercial relationships, statements of work, and total cost of ownership across the learning technology portfolio.
Enterprise Program Leadership
Lead the delivery of complex, cross-functional technology programs from design through adoption, working alongside enterprise Technology, People Services, operations, and external partners. Ensure that what gets built serves the teammate experience, not just the delivery schedule.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
Lead and develop a team of learning technology product and program managers. Build bench strength and continuity across business-critical platforms, and grow the team's capability from platform operation toward product ownership and strategic influence.
Risk, Continuity & Governance
Ensure the reliability, security posture, compliance, and continuity of learning systems that the enterprise depends on, in partnership with operational support functions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; Master's Degree in a related field (such as technology management or adult learning) preferred.
  • Technical Depth: 8+ years in learning technology, enterprise HR/talent technology, or adjacent enterprise platform leadership, including direct ownership of platform architecture and integration decisions. You can speak credibly and specifically about integration patterns and APIs, identity and access architecture, HRIS-to-learning data flows, reporting and data warehouse strategy, and the practical tradeoffs between single-platform and best-of-breed ecosystems.
  • Decision Ownership: Demonstrated track record of owning consequential technology decisions - not just recommending them. Experience serving as the accountable decision-maker in vendor negotiations, architecture reviews, and scope disputes, including decisions made under time pressure with imperfect information.
  • Executive Presence: Ability to challenge senior stakeholders constructively, hold strategic direction under pressure from partners and vendors, and operate with autonomy - earning the trust to be handed a problem and run with it.
  • Leadership: Experience building and developing technical teams, including growing individual contributors into product ownership and strategic roles.
  • Location & Travel: Prefer Denver, CO-based (in-office downtown Tues/Wed/Thurs); open to remote for the right candidate. Travel required: 10-20%.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare or another regulated, distributed-workforce environment.
  • Experience leading platform migrations or consolidations.
  • Hands-on experience with Cornerstone On Demand (CSOD), ServiceNow, or comparable enterprise platforms.

What We'll Provide:
More than just pay, our DaVita Rewards package connects teammates to what matters most. Teammates are eligible to begin receiving benefits on the first day of the month following or coinciding with one month of continuous employment. Below are some of our benefit offerings.
  • Comprehensive benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid time off, PTO cash out
  • Support for you and your family: Family resources, EAP counseling sessions, access Headspace®, backup child and elder care, maternity/paternity leave and more
  • Professional development programs: DaVita offers a variety of programs to help strong performers grow within their career and also offers on-demand virtual leadership and development courses through DaVita's online training platform StarLearning.

#LI-CM2
