Position Overview

The Safety Officer for the Early Learning Center is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for children, staff, parents, and visitors. This role focuses on safety presence, access control, emergency response, and supporting daily operations while maintaining professionalism, patience, and strong communication skills in a childcare and educational setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain the safety and security of the Early Learning Center premises
  • Conduct access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and visitor check-ins
  • Ensure all visitors follow site procedures and sign-in requirements
  • Maintain a visible and professional safety presence throughout the facility
  • Assist with morning arrival, dismissal, and parent pick-up procedures
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or policy violations
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, medical situations, or disturbances
  • Complete detailed incident and daily activity reports accurately and on time
  • Monitor cameras and surveillance systems when applicable
  • Support staff with maintaining a calm, safe, and organized environment
  • Assist with emergency drills, lockdown procedures, and evacuation protocols
  • Maintain professionalism and positive communication with children, parents, staff, and visitors
  • Follow all company policies, client expectations, and childcare safety regulations
