Payroll Specialist


This position serves as a key member of a collaborative payroll team, taking ownership of semi-monthly multi-state payroll runs. Based out of Lake Oswego, the Payroll Specialist ensures precision across payroll processing, division reporting, and assisting with tax compliance as needed. It is an exceptional fit for a detailed, grounded professional who brings a steady energy to high-volume payroll operations and takes pride in delivering accurate, compliant results.

Compensation & Benefits

Primary Responsibilities

  • Multi-State Payroll Execution: Manage end-to-end processing of semi-monthly payroll cycles across multiple states for salaried, hourly, and commissioned personnel.
  • Garnishment & Deduction Management: Administer all mandatory deductions, wage attachments, and garnishments, ensuring precise calculations and timely communication.
  • Account Reconciliation & Reporting: Assist with payroll general ledger balancing, generate divisional management reports, and complete formal employment verifications.
  • Taxes & Compliance: Assist with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, including establishing new state tax accounts, processing filings, and resolving tax agency inquiries.
  • Employee & Team Support: Act as a responsive point of contact for payroll inquiries while delivering accurate customer service.

Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll.
  • Proficient in utilizing Human Capital Management (HCM) software. (i.e. ADP, Paychex, Paycom, etc.)
  • Exceptional numerical accuracy, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
