Job description

The Performance Specialist, East Coast guides measurable operational improvement, productivity, and profitability within assigned PPG CDN customers, MSO accounts, and Strategic PPG Customers. You will be a trusted partner to collision center leadership by delivering PPG Collision Services, operational expertise, and performance-based solutions that strengthen long-term customer relationships and enhance PPG loyalty. Reporting directly to the Refinish USCA Collision Performance Director you will educate customers on PPG Collision Services, Knowledge College, and MVP solutions. You will also partner with PPG sales, leadership teams, and distribution to align service efforts with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Be the primary support contact for PPG CDN customers, MSO locations, and Strategic PPG customers.
  • Focus on existing main accounts with an emphasis on retention, growth, and performance improvement.
  • Engage with assigned customers to understand current operational challenges and opportunities.
  • Observe shop workflows and identify constraints improving productivity or profitability
  • Be the trusted advisor by connecting operational improvements to measurable outcomes
  • Collaborate with PPG sales, Strategic Account Manager, and distribution partners to ensure aligned customer messaging and support
  • Coordinate and support new installations and upgrades. (when needed)
  • Conduct structured Goal and performance reviews with main customers
  • Develop and track action plans tied to customer goals and agreed performance metrics
  • Support implementation of approved performance plans and best practices
  • Prioritize service efforts based on customer impact, strategic value, and our needs
  • Review Salesforce activity to ensure accuracy, completeness, and understanding of performance goals
  • Share insights, and success stories with the Collision Performance Manager and broader PPG team
  • Coordinate and support new installations and upgrades (when needed)
  • OEM Audits and support for Performance Specialist, OEM (when needed)

Qualifications
  • 3-5 or more years of experience in collision repair, automotive refinish, or related operations (MSO experience preferred).
  • Experience with collision center workflows (estimating, production, paint/refinish, cycle time).
  • Experience managing main customer relationships with a focus on retention, growth, and performance.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce (or CRM tools) and Microsoft Office, with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
